Summary

Job Description

ECS is seeking a Enterprise Operations Center Specialist - Lead to work in our Washington, DC - Hybrid office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

ECS is seeking an Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) Specialist Lead to transform how the SEC monitors, manages, and responds to enterprise IT events. This is not a traditional NOC manager role-the SEC is investing in AI-driven operations (AIOps), intelligent alerting, and automated incident response, and you will be at the center of this transformation. You will lead the EOC team while simultaneously driving the adoption of modern observability platforms, automated runbooks, and predictive analytics that reduce mean time to resolution and prevent incidents before they occur.

You will provide technical leadership and direct supervision of EOC operations across multiple shifts, while serving as the primary advocate for operational intelligence. Your goal is to evolve the EOC from a reactive monitoring center to a predictive, automation-enabled operations hub that leverages AI to improve service quality and reduce manual toil.

General Description of Benefits

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise operations, NOC/EOC management, or IT service management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience implementing or managing AIOps, advanced monitoring, or intelligent alerting platforms (Splunk ITSI, Dynatrace, ServiceNOW ITOM, or equivalent)
  • Experience building automated runbooks and automated incident response workflows
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise monitoring across server, network, application, and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with event correlation, root cause analysis, and predictive analytics for operations
  • Track record of reducing MTTR, improving SLA performance, or eliminating recurring incidents through automation
  • Experience managing 24/7 multi-shift operations teams in a federal environment
  • Knowledge of ITIL event, incident, and problem management processes
  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain; U.S. citizenship required

Desired Skills

  • Experience with ChatOps or AI-assisted incident management (PagerDuty, Moogsoft , BigPanda )
  • Hands-on scripting/automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for operational automation
  • Experience with observability platforms and distributed tracing (Datadog, PrometheGrafana, Jaeger)
  • Knowledge of SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) practices and error budgets
  • Experience with ServiceNOW Event Management and CMDB-driven monitoring
  • ITIL Expert or Managing Professional certification
