PC Technician

Description

We are looking for a skilled PC Technician to join our team for a contract position in Baraboo, Wisconsin. In this role, you will assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of replacement computers, ensuring they meet department-specific requirements. This position offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your technical expertise and problem-solving skills while supporting end users with their desktop systems.

Responsibilities:
Unpack and set up replacement computers according to departmental requirements.
Configure pre-imaged systems and perform necessary adjustments for individual users.
Conduct thorough testing of devices to ensure optimal functionality.
Install computers at designated locations and provide assistance with desktop relocations.
Address helpdesk tickets as needed to resolve technical issues.
Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
Manage cable installations and ensure proper infrastructure setup.
Collaborate with team members to streamline system configurations and deployments.
Provide user training and support to ensure smooth transitions to new devices.

Requirements

Experience with computer hardware setup, imaging, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in configuring systems, including Windows and associated software.
Familiarity with cable installation and infrastructure setup.
Knowledge of Dell technologies and desktop imaging processes.
Ability to diagnose and resolve basic hardware and software issues.
Strong understanding of configuration management and system adjustments.
Effective communication skills to assist end users and collaborate with the team.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks within a specified timeframe.
