Role Summary
We are seeking a high-impact Consulting Leader / Salesforce Sales Practitioner to drive growth of our Salesforce Automotive business across OEMs, captive finance, and dealer ecosystems in the Detroit region.
This leader will combine industry expertise, consulting-led sales, and solution architecture depth to shape large transformation programs, build CXO relationships, and deliver outcome-driven Salesforce engagements across the automotive value chain.
Key Responsibilities
1. Consulting-Led Sales & Account Growth
- Own and drive Salesforce-led transformation deals ($5M–$50M+) across Automotive clients
- Lead CXO-level conversations on digital transformation, customer lifecycle, and connected vehicle experience
- Build account strategies and pipeline, focusing on OEMs, captives, and dealer ecosystems
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, shaping business outcomes and transformation roadmaps
2. Automotive Industry Expertise
- Bring deep understanding of:
- OEM sales and distribution
- Dealer management and aftersales
- Warranty, service, and parts ecosystem
- Captive finance and leasing
- Translate automotive trends (connected vehicles, subscriptions, mobility) into Salesforce solutions

3. Salesforce Automotive Cloud Solutioning
- Lead solution design leveraging:
- Salesforce Automotive Cloud (industry data model, workflows)
- Customer 360 and Data Cloud
- Integration (MuleSoft) and ecosystem platforms
- Architect end-to-end customer lifecycle solutions across:
- Sales & dealer management
- Service & aftersales
- Customer engagement and loyalty
4. Practice Development & GTM Leadership
- Build and scale Automotive Salesforce practice capabilities:
- Offerings, accelerators, solution playbooks
- Automotive CRM process libraries
- Drive go-to-market (GTM) strategy and partner alignment with Salesforce
- Contribute to industry POVs, thought leadership, and analyst interactions
5. Large Deal Shaping & Delivery Oversight
- Lead deal shaping, solution proposal, and commercial structuring
- Ensure strong linkage between business outcomes and technical design
- Oversee delivery teams for successful execution and client satisfaction
- Drive value realization, ROI articulation, and transformation outcomes
6. Ecosystem & Partnership Leadership
- Build relationships with:
- Salesforce industry leadership
- Automotive ISVs and ecosystem partners
- Leverage alliances to create joint solutions and co-sell strategies
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 15–20+ years in consulting, with at least:
- 8+ years in Salesforce ecosystem
- 5+ years in Automotive domain
- Proven experience selling and delivering large transformation programs
- Strong track record in consulting-led deal shaping and closure
Industry Expertise
- Deep experience with:
- OEMs (Ford, GM, Stellantis, etc.)
- Captive auto finance
- Dealer/distribution networks
- Understanding of auto lifecycle (sales, ownership, aftersales, loyalty)
Salesforce Expertise
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud
- Automotive Cloud
- Data Cloud (preferred)
- Integration platforms (MuleSoft preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent business leadership experience
- Salesforce certifications (Architect / Industry Cloud preferred)
- Experience working with Detroit-based automotive clients
