Description
We are seeking a skilled AV Technician with systems administration experience to support and maintain enterprise IT and audio-visual environments in Tallahassee, Florida. This long-term contract role focuses on advanced technical support, proactive equipment maintenance, and ensuring reliable day-to-day operation of IT and AV systems. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting skills, clear communication, and a service-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, operate, and support audio-visual systems for live events, including projection systems, video conferencing platforms, and wireless presentation technologies.
Diagnose and resolve complex issues across computer systems, peripherals, and software through advanced troubleshooting.
Provide Tier 2 technical support, independently owning medium-to-high complexity issues through resolution.
Install, configure, and support IT equipment such as workstations, networked printers, and connected peripherals.
Monitor and manage the Service Desk ticket queue, ensuring timely responses and thorough documentation of all support activity.
Coordinate hardware repairs and service calls for both warranty and non-warranty equipment.
Create and maintain technical documentation to support systems, processes, and ongoing projects.
Perform routine testing, maintenance, and performance checks on audiovisual equipment.
Support digital signage platforms and related AV technologies.
Collaborate with IT and AV team members on projects, sharing knowledge and contributing to continuous service improvement.
Requirements
Proven experience in setting up and supporting audio-visual equipment, including projection systems, video conferencing tools, and wireless devices.
Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, software, and firmware in LAN/WAN environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, and familiarity with networked operating systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills across various computer manufacturers, peripherals, and AV equipment.
