This position will be a hybrid work arrangement. You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed.
Seated within our Quantitative Investment Science group, this position converts deployment velocity into learning velocity by building telemetry, analytics, and experimentation systems that guide product direction. This engineer works at the intersection of engineering and product - turning user behavior data into actionable insights that accelerate product-market fit. This role is ideal for analytically-minded engineers who are curious about how users interact with software and want to help develop product decisions with data.

What you will do: - Build and maintain event taxonomy across frontend and backend applications
- Develop A/B testing and gradual rollout frameworks coordinated with feature flags
- Build self-serve dashboards and metrics pipelines for activation, retention, and adoption tracking
- Implement telemetry instrumentation following privacy-conscious guidelines
- Partner with product and design to interpret usage data and develop experimentation strategy
- Define and track product health metrics (engagement, feature adoption, user journeys)
- Develop automated reporting systems for important product indicators and test results
- Document experimentation guidelines and help the team run rigorous tests
What you bring: - Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and pipeline building
- Understanding of web application architecture (frontend/backend event flow)
- Experience with analytics platforms (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Application Insights, or similar)
- Fundamental knowledge of statistics related to A/B testing (sample sizes, significance, confidence intervals)
- Experience building dashboards (Power BI, Grafana, Metabase, or similar)
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and telemetry patterns
- Understanding of version control (git)
- Ability to communicate data insights clearly to non-technical collaborators
- Interest in product metrics and analyzing user behavior
- Preferred: Experience with feature flag platforms, familiarity with React/TypeScript for frontend instrumentation, exposure to financial products
Education Preferred Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or equivalent experience
Experience 2-4 years development experience (Associate level), with exposure to analytics, data analysis, or product engineering

Salary Range $104,000.00 - $156,000.00
This USD base salary range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is determined based on individual and overall firm performance. In addition to salary and bonus, total compensation may include eligibility for long-term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Our total rewards offerings are influenced by several business factors, and eligibility for certain components will vary by position and geography. Please note the posted ranges do not apply outside the U.S. and should not be converted to other currencies as a proxy for compensation in other countries.
