The Manager of Enterprise Applications oversees a team of IT professionals that support the core ERP services at the University, aligning systems with business processes and managing configurations and upgrades. Leads IT projects from initial planning to final delivery, ensuring alignment with institutional goals. Applies ITSM best practices in operations, focusing on Incident, Problem, and Change Management. Drives service improvement by utilizing performance metrics and fosters staff development through targeted training and skill mapping. Effectively manages task prioritization, resource allocation, and performance tracking. Collaborates across departments and with distributed IT teams to support strategic initiatives. Provides technical advisory to leadership, evaluating solutions based on their features, automation potential, cost, and associated risks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the management and coordination of all aspects of core ERP services at the University, including the mapping of functional business processes to system facilities, documenting and analyzing the configurations, modifications and bolt-ons used to support these processes.
Working with the functional user offices, minimizing the total cost of ownership for administrative data processing operations while still ensuring that vital University objectives are adequately supported.
Lead and manage IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with institutional goals. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and coordinate cross-functional teams. Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery.
Extensive experience of ITSM processes, including Incident, Problem and Change Management to manage IT Operations.
Plan and manage upgrade cycles, new code development, and change management in line with best-of-breed ERP management practice.
Ensure consistent service delivery and continuous improvement of IT support operations, utilizing metrics to evaluate service performance and end user performance.
Responsible for continuous skill development of the team, mapping skills gaps to training opportunities and recommending priorities to ITS leadership.
Ensure that the staff work tasks are appropriately sequenced and prioritized to achieve the goals of the team, ITS, external constituents and the University.
Responsible for tracking staff performance and ensuring that all work assignments are appropriately recorded. Effectively report staff time allocations and future availability for projects.
Work collaboratively and constructively with managers and leadership to advance the technical and strategic goals of the University.
Effectively collaborate with distributed IT staff to support their goals and objectives within the larger IT framework.
Serve as the primary technical advisor for ITS leadership, evaluating technical options in terms of feature sets, automation opportunities, costs and risks.
Gather user community input, formulate cohesive plans to address issues and concerns and bring those to IT leadership.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
