Summary

Description
We are looking for a Product Manager to take ownership of a defined portion of Fanatics' customer-facing digital experience. This role is focused on front-end, web-based product areas that customers interact with daily, spanning the journey from product discovery through checkout. You will join an established product organization and work within a collaborative environment where designers and engineers are already in place.
This is a hands-on role for a Product Manager who is comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability. You will be embedded with an existing design and engineering team and trusted to fully own a specific area of the experience, helping relieve leadership from being directly involved in day-to-day product execution.
The intent of the role is to reduce current product management bottlenecks by placing clear ownership with a dedicated PM. This person will independently run their portion of the front-end experience, keep work moving forward, and own outcomes end-to-end, rather than functioning as a support, coordination, or handoff PM.
Ideally, a minimum of 4 years of recent Customer-Facing Web & E-Commerce Experience.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap and execution for a defined area of the customer-facing web experience
- Partner closely with UX designers and engineers to define, build, and deliver features
- Work with business stakeholders to understand goals and translate them into actionable product work
- Independently analyze product and customer data to identify opportunities and prioritize work
- Validate ideas through customer conversations, prototypes, and testing before development
- Write clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Ensure features are delivered with quality and aligned to user and business needs
- Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders
No specific tools are needed for data/reporting. Examples of the more user-friendly tools/dashboards he mentioned: Amplitude, Google Analytics, Microstrategy (Fanatics internal tool for reporting).

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Expectations for Success:
- You can operate independently and remove product management bottlenecks
- You use data and customer insights to guide decisions, not just intuition
- You keep execution moving without requiring heavy oversight
- You communicate clearly and proactively with partners across design, engineering, and business
- You consistently deliver customer-facing improvements that have measurable impact
Disqualifiers:
- Candidates who say they are "data driven" but can't pull their own data. Looking at Excel is not deep enough experience.
- Candidate who say they are customer-centric but haven't talked to users recently/consistently.
- PMs who are order takers. Wants PMs who help decide what ot build, not just how to build it.
- Candidates with experience only with backend/internal tools.
- Candidates who have not actually shipped customer-facing web features.
- Candidates who require too much hand holding.
