The Mission
As a PhD Scientist, Drug Discovery Data for AI/ML, you will act as a force multiplier for the team. Your mission is to eliminate systemic friction, allowing leadership to maintain an absolute focus on accelerating data-driven drug discovery and development.
You will transform abstract organizational challenges into high-impact, actionable outcomes. Working at the intersection of proprietary architecture and sophisticated algorithms, you will ensure that the firm’s technical output consistently pushes the boundaries of computational biochemistry and machine learning.
Core Technical Objectives
Orchestrate Systemic Workflows: Own and execute complex, high-stakes protocols to ensure seamless operational velocity for the ML Data team.
Distill Complex Data: Spearhead technical research, translating multifaceted scientific datasets (primarily chemical and biological) into precise frameworks that drive machine learning models.
Optimize Frameworks: Validate, curate, and refine intricate biological and chemical technical requirements, ensuring systemic accuracy and operational resilience.
Engineer Multi-Project Solutions: Navigate concurrent drug discovery pipelines using a proactive "Goal-Execution-Mapping" (GEM) approach to preempt bottlenecks.
Facilitate Elite Communication: Serve as a key interface between the machine learning researchers and drug discovery teams, upholding the highest standards of professional discretion.

About the Client & Compensation
Our client, based in New York City, develops and uses advanced computational technologies for a proprietary special-purpose supercomputer designed to vastly accelerate molecular dynamics simulations—to understand molecular behavior at an atomic level and design highly selective drugs.
Base Salary: $250,000–$400,000 (determined by experience and academic background).
Additional Compensation: Variable sign-on and year-end bonuses.

Work Schedule: Hybrid (in-office Tuesday through Thursday; optional remote work Monday and Friday).
