Job Title: Application Developer
Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15205 USA
Duration: 12 Months
This position will advise and education the Digital development team on technologies to get them more proficient with their technical skill set.
This position will be Pittsburgh based and be required to be in the office a minimum of 3 work days a week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment
Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale
Work primarily in Covestro recommended and supported software suite
Engage with technical project managers and key internal stakeholders across various groups
Ensure strong documentation via GitHub and other documentation tools
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
AWS CloudFormation, Terraform or similar infrastructure as code experience
Javascript front end coding or other similar languages with secondhand experience of AI assisted coding
Python experience
SQL database experience (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
CI/CD experience preferably with GitHub actions or GitLab runner
Understanding of networks for applications (DNS, load balancing, firewalls, DMZs, etc.)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate & work with a cross function of technical as well as supply chain personnel.
Ability to take on various projects simultaneously.
Ability to explain to & educate co-workers on technical details.
Schedule flexibility to days in the office.
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. or above in Computer Science, Information Science or related degree
3+ years technical development experience
Integration with SAP / ERP s
Experience with Docker / ECS
Cost optimization in AWS
knowledge transfer background
Agile methodology
SQL and SQL tools
RPA development
Application load balancers
Network understanding
Experience with React or Angular
