SAP EAM Functional Consultant

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP EAM Functional Consultant to lead and support enterprise-wide SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) initiatives. This role focuses on functional design, configuration, and implementation of SAP EAM solutions, with strong expertise in Plant Maintenance (PM/SM) and Project Systems (PS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on functional design, configuration, and implementation support for SAP EAM, including PM/SM and PS modules
• Lead and support full lifecycle SAP EAM implementations, including:
  • Business requirements gathering
  • Business workshops and gap analysis
  • Blueprinting and solution design
  • SAP configuration and customization
  • Unit testing, integration testing, and UAT
  • Cutover planning, data migration, and go-live support
  • End-user training and post go-live support
• Analyze current-state business processes and define future-state EAM solutions aligned with business goals
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional design and configuration documents
• Ensure full traceability of business and functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct and validate fit-gap analysis, ensuring deviations from SAP standard are justified and value-driven
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, project management, vendors, and technical teams
• Influence decision-making and drive consensus across business and IT teams
• Support SAP EAM enhancements and ongoing support initiatives
• Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring, and ad-hoc end-user training as needed
• Work independently with minimal supervision as a subject matter expert

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of overall SAP experience
• 5+ years as a Functional SAP EAM Consultant
• Minimum 2 full SAP implementations (Greenfield or Brownfield – must be clearly explainable)
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA EAM
• Hands-on expertise in Plant Maintenance (PM/SM)
• Experience with Project Systems (PS)
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and manage complex stakeholder environments

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with EAM architects and enterprise leadership
• Exposure to emerging technologies within SAP EAM
• Experience in asset-intensive industries (energy, utilities, manufacturing, oil & gas preferred)
