Summary

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support and enhance our enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst switches, wireless technologies, and network security. This role involves a blend of deployment, administration, troubleshooting, and proactive network optimization across both data center and office environments.

Key Responsibilities

Switch & Wireless Administration

  • Administer and maintain Cisco network infrastructure with a focus on Cisco Catalyst switches and wireless access points.
  • Utilize Cisco Catalyst Center for automated provisioning, policy management, and network assurance.
  • Configure and manage wireless LAN controllers (WLCs) and access points to ensure secure, reliable wireless connectivity.
  • Perform hands-on deployment of switches, APs, and other network equipment in data centers and office locations.

Troubleshooting & Support

  • Troubleshoot complex wired and wireless network issues related to connectivity, performance, and security.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), EtherChannel, and other switching technologies.
  • Provide expert-level support for wireless issues including signal strength, client connectivity, and roaming.

Network Security

  • Implement and enforce security policies across wired and wireless networks.
  • Configure and manage ACLs, port security, and 802.1X authentication.
  • Monitor for security threats and unauthorized access attempts.

Documentation & Monitoring

  • Create and maintain detailed network documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and process guides.
  • Monitor network health and performance to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar technical role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst switches.
  • Proven experience in wireless network administration and troubleshooting.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Cisco Catalyst Center for network management.
  • Strong understanding of wireless standards, security protocols (WPA2/3), and RF fundamentals.
  • Solid knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
  • Experience working with:
    • Cisco routers and switches
    • Palo Alto firewalls
    • Wireless technologies
    • Data center networking

Certifications

  • Cisco CCNA or CCNP Enterprise highly preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
