RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Rack & Stack Engineer in support of our enterprise storage, compute and networking customer based in Quincy, WA.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform day-to-day UNIX/Linux system operations, including command-line usage, basic system monitoring, and troubleshooting to support infrastructure stability
* Support and troubleshoot TCP/IP network connectivity, assisting with IP addressing, connectivity validation, and basic network issue resolution
* Execute physical data center activities, including de-racking, moving, and re-racking network and server equipment in accordance with documented procedures
* Assist with hardware installation, cable management, and equipment labeling to maintain organized and operational network environments
* Coordinate with network and systems teams during equipment relocations, upgrades, or maintenance activities to minimize service disruption
* Follow established safety, handling, and operational standards when working with physical infrastructure and data center equipment
* Document activities, changes, and issues accurately to support operational transparency and handoff across teams
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong UNIX/Linux administration skills, including command-line operations, system navigation, and basic troubleshooting
* Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, subnetting, and network connectivity concepts
* Hands-on experience with physical network infrastructure, including de-racking, relocating, and re-racking network equipment such as switches, routers, and servers
* Ability to safely handle and cable hardware in data center or lab environments, following standard operational and safety procedures
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
