ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a top 10, 100% employee-owned engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm as a Project Manager, leading large-scale facility and infrastructure projects across aerospace, manufacturing, industrial, aviation, government, and other complex environments. This full-time position in Orlando or Melbourne, FL offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex projects from early design and planning through construction, commissioning, and closeout. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate design and construction efforts, and oversee project scope, schedule, budget, contracts, quality, and client relationships. As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-visibility projects while building strong client partnerships, mentoring project team members, and supporting business development within a highly respected engineering and construction organization.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams from project inception through completion, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, budget, and scope requirements are met.
  • Manage the execution of Design-Build and other design and construction projects, coordinating design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, design teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, construction teams, vendors, and field personnel throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Establish project teams, define responsibilities, and provide day-to-day leadership and direction.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, scopes, staffing plans, and execution strategies.
  • Manage project costs, forecasts, accruals, change orders, contracts, and risk.
  • Lead coordination between design and construction teams to ensure projects are constructable, on schedule, and aligned with client requirements.
  • Develop RFPs, bid packages, scopes of work, and procurement strategies.
  • Manage contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project partners.
  • Monitor field progress and resolve issues affecting schedule, productivity, cost, quality, or safety.
  • Lead project meetings, status updates, client communications, and project reviews.
  • Support contract negotiations, change management, risk reviews, and project closeout.
  • Oversee commissioning, turnover, documentation, and final project completion.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and support future business development opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop less experienced project team members.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field from an accredited program.
  • 7+ years of applicable project management experience in facility, construction, or capital projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with Design-Build project delivery.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating design and construction activities.
  • Proven ability to manage project schedule, cost, scope, contracts, risk, procurement, and quality.
  • Strong client-facing and contractor-facing communication skills.
  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, industrial, government/defense, energy, or commercial facilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management, scheduling, cost control, and document management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred: Experience with new facility construction, major expansions, or secure/government facilities.
  • Preferred: Construction-site or field management experience.
  • Preferred: PMP certification.
  • Preferred: Experience managing large capital projects and significant project budgets.
