Job Description


We are seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in UI and database test automation using Selenium or Tosca, SQL, Unix, ETL, and Agile delivery and a proven ability to design and execute comprehensive test strategies, build automation, and drive defect triage to closure.


Responsibilities:



  • Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases from functional requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Contribute to test planning and build test cases for sprint stories in Scrum environments.

  • Automate UI and database tests using Selenium or Tosca, including script design, development, and maintenance.

  • Build and manage test data to support manual and automated test execution.

  • Execute functional, integration, and regression tests and record results with traceability.

  • Test new and existing features, debug at unit and integration levels, and report defects with actionable details.

  • Partner with development teams for defect triage and resolution.

  • Own end-to-end testing across multiple systems and data flows.

  • Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies, proposing timely solutions.

  • Apply quality principles throughout the Agile lifecycle with required documentation and evidence.

  • Ensure standards and processes are implemented and followed across projects.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Technical BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or related field.

  • 6+ years of overall experience with 5+ years in software testing.

  • Hands-on automation with Selenium or Tosca for UI and database testing.

  • Expertise in testing user interfaces and database changes.

  • Proficiency in SQL with strong experience writing complex queries using joins.

  • Experience with Unix, including ability to write and execute shell commands.

  • Experience with ETL testing and database concepts; Oracle preferred.

  • Familiarity with Autosys job scheduling.

  • Working knowledge of test management tools such as qTest or Octane.

  • Knowledge of SIT and UAT phases and Agile methodologies.

  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors with clear communication.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Effective collaboration with globally distributed, large teams.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.


Preferred Skills:



  • Experience in banking or financial services domain.

  • Prior experience with Oracle database performance and validation.
