Key Responsibilities
Process & Solution Analysis: Map global trade, export/import, and customs compliance processes to SAP GTS capabilities (Compliance, Customs, and Risk Management). Translate business requirements into functional designs for GTS configuration, including A&D-specific scenarios (ITAR/EAR-controlled exports, military end-use).
Configuration & Integration Support: Define and support GTS integration with S/4HANA (SD, MM, logistics execution) and external systems. Maintain and validate GTS master and reference data (regulations, license data, blocked party lists). Write functional specifications for customizations, interfaces, and reports.
Compliance & Controls: Support the implementation of export control and customs rules within GTS. Help design and validate screening processes (sanctioned party lists, embargo checks) and license determination logic. Assist trade compliance teams in audits by providing system data and transaction traceability.
Testing, Deployment & Support: Develop and execute test plans for GTS processes. Participate in project cutover and go-live activities. Provide ongoing production support, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate fixes.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary IT liaison for GTS-related topics. Prepare and deliver user documentation, training content, and knowledge transfer materials.
Required Qualifications
SAP GTS & IT Business Analysis: Hands-on experience with SAP GTS supporting export, customs, and compliance processes. Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA logistics and supply chain processes (SD, MM, deliveries) and their integration with GTS. Proven experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and functional specification authoring.
Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge: Working knowledge of global trade compliance concepts (export controls, customs regulations, tariff classification, denied party screening) and U.S. export/import regulations (EAR, ITAR).
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Supply Chain, International Business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in SAP/ERP environments and global trade or compliance processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in SAP GTS implementations or rollouts within an A&D or defense-related context.
Exposure to license management, customs declaration processing, and sanctioned party list updates within GTS.
Familiarity with Agile project environments and tools for managing requirements and defects.
Prior work supporting audits or regulatory inspections involving SAP GTS.
