Introduction:

The Mainframe_DB2 Administration position requires a highly experienced individual with at least 10 years of experience in IT IS_AMS_Mainframe_DB2 Administration. The role involves overseeing the administration of IBM DB2 databases on mainframe systems, as well as working with various coding languages such as REXX, SQL, JCL, MICS, and SAS.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer IBM DB2 databases on mainframe systems
• Utilize coding languages such as REXX, SQL, JCL, MICS, and SAS for development and maintenance tasks
• Ensure the performance, security, and availability of the DB2 databases
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to DB2 databases
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to implement new technologies and solutions
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies related to mainframe and DB2 administration
• Follow Project Management processes and tools for successful project execution
• Utilize Problem/Change Management processes and tools for efficient handling of issues and changes

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• At least 10 years of experience in IT IS_AMS_Mainframe_DB2 Administration
• Strong knowledge of IBM DB2 database administration
• Experience with mainframe systems and hardware connectivity
• Proficiency in coding languages such as REXX, SQL, JCL, MICS, and SAS
• Ability to keep up with industry trends and learn from vendor manuals
• Familiarity with Project Management processes and tools
• Understanding of Problem/Change Management processes and tools

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications in IBM DB2 database administration
• Experience with emerging technologies in mainframe and DB2 administration
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
