About the Role

We are seeking a Risk Analytics Data Consultant to support enterprise risk and regulatory capital initiatives. In this role, you will partner with risk, finance, and technology stakeholders to ensure regulatory data is accurately sourced, transformed, validated, tested, and delivered for critical Basel III and risk reporting processes.

You will work on complex data management and analytics initiatives, helping drive data quality, governance, reporting accuracy, and regulatory compliance across large-scale financial services programs.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze, validate, and manage large datasets supporting regulatory capital and risk reporting initiatives.
  • Partner with business, risk, finance, and technology teams to define data requirements and resolve data quality issues.
  • Perform data sourcing, mapping, transformation, and reconciliation activities across multiple systems.
  • Develop and execute testing strategies, including integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and data validation.
  • Create and maintain source-to-target mappings, data lineage documentation, and business requirements.
  • Identify data gaps, process inefficiencies, and control weaknesses, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Support Basel III capital calculations and risk reporting platforms with accurate and timely data delivery.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects while ensuring adherence to governance, compliance, and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders and project teams.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Data Analysis
    • Data Management
    • Business Analysis
    • Data Mapping
    • Data Testing
  • Experience supporting Risk, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Capital Management, or Financial Services initiatives.
  • Experience working with enterprise data, regulatory, or risk-focused programs.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Basel III, Regulatory Capital, CCAR, stress testing, or risk reporting initiatives.
  • Experience with data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks.
  • Experience in highly regulated financial services environments.
  • Experience documenting business processes, requirements, and controls.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across business and technology organizations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting and risk management practices.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate combines strong data analysis expertise with hands-on experience in regulatory, risk, or finance programs. You are comfortable working with large datasets, defining business processes, conducting testing activities, and driving data quality outcomes in a complex financial services environment. Experience using Python, SQL, and Excel to investigate, analyze, and resolve data challenges is essential.
