Summary

Essential Skills: Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced DBAData Engineer to lead the migration of data from our legacy systems to a new microservice-based System of Record (SOR). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modeling| ETL processes| and database administration with hands-on experience in Aurora PostgreSQL| MongoDB| and Oracle databases. You will be responsible for designing the new data model| ensuring data integrity| and executing the migration with minimal downtime.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze existing legacy data systems and understand data structures| dependencies| and quality issues.Design and develop scalable| efficient data models aligned with the microservice-based SOR architecture.Plan and execute data migration strategies| including extraction| transformation| and loading (ETL) from legacy systems to the new platform.Develop and optimize database schemas and queries in Aurora PostgreSQL| MongoDB| and Oracle DB.Collaborate with software architects| developers| and business analysts to ensure data requirements are met.Develop scripts| stored procedures| and automation tools to facilitate data migration and validation.Monitor and optimize database performance| ensuring data consistency and integrity throughout the migration process.Implement data validation and reconciliation processes to verify successful migration.Document data models| migration processes| and best practices.Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting during and after migration.Ensure compliance with data governance| security policies| and regulatory requirements.Required QualificationsBachelors degree in Computer Science| Information Systems| or related field.Proven experience as

•       Strong expertise in data modeling tools and techniques
•       Proficiency in ETL tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL, Shell scripting).
•       Familiarity with microservices architecture and associated data management challenges.
•       Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and cloud-native database services.


•       Education Requirements: Bachelors in Computer Science or other related field
•       Years of Experience: 12+  years
