Primary Responsibilities (Training Provided)
- Learn to execute end-to-end testing of middle-office derivative applications, ensuring the accuracy of core financial operations such as trade settlements and reconciliations.
- Develop skills in designing, writing, and executing structured test plans and test cases for both UI and API layers.
- Gain experience logging, triaging, and tracking bugs through resolution while collaborating closely with the development team.
- Work alongside senior QA members to maintain existing suites and receive training on the team''s strategic migration from Selenium to Playwright.
- Learn to proactively leverage AI tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT) to streamline day-to-day activities, including test plan generation and data synthesis.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies to identify risks and improve the testability of new .NET-based features.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional experience in a Software Quality/Testing role.
- Basic understanding of the QA lifecycle, including manual testing and bug reporting.
- Familiarity with .NET environments. Exposure to Web and API testing (e.g., Postman) is helpful.
- A proactive, "on-your-toes" attitude. In a fast-paced trading environment, you must be ready to accept challenges and take full ownership of your growth.
- Ability to work on-site 2 days per week (Hybrid) in Topeka.
Preferred Qualifications
- A strong interest in learning Playwright or Selenium.
- Interest in financial services, investment banking, or insurance (prior experience is a plus, but not required).
- Curious about using AI-driven tools to enhance testing productivity.
