Location: Middletown, NJ

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Kubernetes (K8s) Engineer to design, deploy, and manage containerized applications in a cloud-native environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Kubernetes, containerization, and DevOps practices, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters (on-premises or cloud).
• Deploy, scale, and maintain containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Monitor cluster performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Implement security best practices for Kubernetes workloads and clusters.
• Manage container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Work with development teams to containerize applications and optimize performance.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Perform upgrades, patches, and cluster maintenance activities.
• Ensure logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s).
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker.
• Good understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems.
• Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, ingress controllers).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

Preferred Qualifications

• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, or CKS).
• Experience with Helm charts and Kubernetes Operators.
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
• Experience with security tools and DevSecOps practices.
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Go).

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with multi-cluster or hybrid cloud environments.
• Exposure to serverless architectures.
• Knowledge of cost optimization strategies in cloud environment
