Job Details

The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules using Primavera P6 to support the successful execution of complex utility and infrastructure construction projects. You'll collaborate closely with project managers, engineering, field leadership, and project controls teams to ensure accurate planning, forecasting, and schedule performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Build and manage master schedules along with 6-week, 3-week, and 1-week look-ahead schedules
  • Identify critical path activities and schedule risks
  • Align schedules with project scope, milestones, budgets, and resource plans
  • Update schedules using field progress information
  • Monitor schedule performance against baseline plans
  • Identify schedule variances and recommend recovery strategies
  • Support labor forecasting, production planning, and project controls
  • Coordinate schedule updates with project management, engineering, and field teams
  • Generate schedule reports and executive updates
  • Participate in planning and project coordination meetings

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of project scheduling or project controls experience
  • Strong hands-on experience using Primavera P6
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience supporting construction projects from planning through execution

Preferred Qualifications
  • Utility, electrical, industrial, EPC, heavy civil, or infrastructure construction experience
  • Experience supporting transmission, distribution, substation, or renewable energy projects
  • Familiarity with project controls, forecasting, earned value, and cost reporting
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent project schedules
