Pay Range: $95 - $100/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver platform-agnostic device communication systems for advanced audio and networking products.
- Build software using agile methodologies within high-performing, cross-functional teams.
- Partner with marketing, testing, and system engineering teams to define use cases and requirements that deliver customer value.
- Implement core communication logic using Node.js and C++.
- Provide access to system functionality through GraphQL and RESTful APIs.
- Analyze and standardize device interaction capabilities across a diverse product ecosystem, enabling consistent, device-independent interfaces.
- Improve middleware performance and ensure appropriate security practices are in place.
- Plan, estimate, and break down tasks to turn concepts into working software features.
- Communicate clearly with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- When required, update and maintain user interface applications built with Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key skills; Nodejs, API, Typescript, GraphQL, system design, IoT/device communication exp, Low-latency, distributed system, performance optimization, real-time data handling.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- At least 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong background in backend development using Node.js, with a focus on TypeScript.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment, with flexibility for hybrid work or occasional travel as needed.
- Experience designing and documenting web APIs for asynchronous systems.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex technical problems.
- Solid understanding of operating systems, asynchronous programming, multithreading, and reactive programming concepts.
- Familiarity with standard software engineering practices, including:
- Design principles such as SOLID, separation of concerns, and managing coupling and cohesion
- Continuous integration, testing, and deployment processes
- Unit and integration testing methodologies
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Working with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- Knowledge of distributed systems
- Experience with audio or wireless communication products
- Embedded systems development experience
- Proficiency in C++ using object-oriented or functional paradigms
- Building web interfaces using modern frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js
- Experience with serverless cloud environments, especially AWS
- Familiarity with development tools and IDEs
