responsibilities:

1. Delivery & Agile Management

  • Lead Sprint Ceremonies: Facilitate and drive Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, and Retrospectives.
  • Remove Blockers: Actively identify and eliminate impediments, blockers, and friction points for the engineering teams.
  • Agile Coaching: Train, mentor, and guide team members and stakeholders as the organization transitions from a Waterfall mindset to Agile.
  • High-Volume Execution: Concurrently manage 5 to 10 projects or complex implementation phases from initiation through to closure.
2. Technical Coordination & Collaboration
  • Bridge Business and Tech: Work closely with Software Developers, Cloud Architects, Security Engineers, and Product Owners to drive technical solutions.
  • Translate Requirements: Understand complex technical concepts (such as Cloud migrations and security frameworks) and translate them into clear business terms for stakeholders.
  • Convey Urgency: Effectively communicate business priorities, critical timelines, and client urgency to the technical teams.
3. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Client-Facing Management: Serve as a primary point of contact, interfacing heavily with both internal and external clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Consultative Input: Provide client consultative input on product capabilities, system features, and deployment strategies.
  • Expectation Management: Navigate an environment where scope and responsibilities aren't always clearly defined, establishing structure and managing expectations when they are vague.
4. Governance, Risk & Governance (GRC)
  • Manage Risk & Scope: Track project risks, issues, dependencies, and formal scope changes tightly.
  • Audit & Security Remediation: Drive high-priority security-focused implementations, technical tool rollouts, and audit remediations required by the government client.
  • Methodology Compliance: Ensure the team strictly adheres to established project management methodologies, implementation management processes, and security protocols.



qualifications:

Experience: 5+ years of overall project management experience, with a solid portion of that time spent utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies.


Technical Background: Previous experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master driving complex IT technical projects, specifically with exposure to Security and/or IT Infrastructure projects.


Client Management: Proven track record in a client-facing role, interfacing regularly with external and internal clients as well as partners.


Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts in business terms.


Education: High School Diploma is required (a Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience).


Logistics & Schedule:


Ability to physically work in the office 5 days a week.


Flexibility to work after hours, on-call, or on weekends when needed for deployments.


Ability to handle occasional travel (5%-10%).


Legal & Clearance:



Ability to pass an additional US Government background check.


Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)


Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), SAFe, or Scrum Certification(s).


Industry Experience: Experience working within the financial industry and/or working directly with US Federal Government agencies.


Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience utilizing Azure DevOps or JIRA.


Aptitude: A strong desire and ability to learn new technical concepts quickly.
