Job Title: Senior R&D Engineer.

Duration of the job: 6-12 months

Job Description:

Futurewei has an opening for Visual Computing R&D engineering. Candidate will be responsible for

Conduct R&D in the areas of spatial computing, computer vision, graphic rendering, avatar animation, AI/ML modeling, and/or other technical areas related to graphic animation and Metaverse.
Focused innovative research for journal and conference publication, and patents.
Open source implementation of demo prototype, and core algorithms.
Work on developing new imaging dataset of human faces and expressions.
Industrial and academic collaboration, and professional community involvement.

Requirements:

PhD & MS in Computer Science, EE, or related fields.
Proven strong background in academic research and publication
Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: C/C++, Python
Knowledge and hands-on experience in AI/ML, computer graphic, computer vision, or other visual computing algorithms is a strong plus.
Industrial experience a plus, particularly the experience with OpenCV, OpenGL, or WebGL.
Strong mathematical skill, problem-solving and analytical mindset.
Eagerness and quickness to learn new technologies
Software development in related fields with hands-on experiences is desired.
