Role - Enterprise Technical Architect - OMS
Location - Seattle, WA / Vancouver Canada
Start Date: Immediate

Job Summary:
Enterprise Technical Architect with deep expertise in Sterling OMS, Java-based microservices architecture, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud-native technologies. The ideal candidate will define enterprise architecture strategy, lead large-scale OMS implementations, and drive modernization initiatives using microservices and containerized platforms.
This role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on architecture experience, and the ability to align technology solutions with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead enterprise architecture strategy for Order Management and distributed systems.
- Architect and design scalable, resilient solutions using Sterling OMS.
- Design and implement Java-based microservices architectures.
- Lead cloud-native application development and modernization initiatives on AWS.
- Architect containerized solutions using Kubernetes for high availability and scalability.
- Define API strategies, event-driven architectures, and messaging frameworks.
- Provide technical governance, best practices, and architectural standards.
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and performance optimization assessments.
- Lead DevOps enablement including CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and infrastructure automation.
- Mentor development teams and provide technical leadership across programs.
- Ensure security, compliance, scalability, and disaster recovery standards are met.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years in enterprise architecture roles.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Sterling OMS architecture and implementation
- Java / Spring Boot microservices
- Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
- AWS cloud-native services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, etc.)
- Experience designing event-driven and distributed architectures.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, messaging systems (Kafka, MQ), and integration frameworks.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of scalability, resiliency, and performance engineering.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Retail, eCommerce, or Supply Chain domains.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Exposure to observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Dynatrace).
- TOGAF or cloud architecture certifications (AWS Solutions Architect preferred).
Education
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- AWS or relevant architecture certifications are highly desirable.
