A growing home builder is seeking an experienced Construction Accounting Manager to lead its accounting operations. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership and play a key role in financial reporting, job costing, and process improvement across multiple entities.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements across multiple entities
  • Lead job costing and work-in-progress reporting to support project profitability tracking
  • Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy
  • Support external audits, tax preparation, and compliance requirements
  • Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations to optimize financial performance
  • Ensure accurate intercompany accounting and consolidations across six entities

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience with job costing and WIP reporting in a construction environment
  • Experience managing multi-entity accounting structures is a plus
  • Experience with Sage 300/Timberline and QuickBooks is a plus
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
