Roles and Responsibilities:
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with 8 10 years of experience in requirements management, business process analysis, and software delivery. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, decorators, artwork teams, product owners, and engineering teams to define, document, and deliver solutions supporting custom-made sports apparel and event merchandise.
The role requires strong expertise in gathering and translating business requirements for applications that support artwork creation, customization workflows, order management, proofing, production, and fulfilment processes for sports apparel and event-based merchandise.
The Business Analyst will serve as the bridge between business users and technology teams, ensuring solutions align with business objectives, operational processes, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Requirements Management
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, decorators, artwork teams, production teams, and operations teams to understand business needs.
- Conduct workshops, stakeholder interviews, process walkthroughs, and requirement elicitation sessions.
- Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
- Create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Ensure requirements are complete, unambiguous, testable, and traceable throughout the project lifecycle.
Decorator & Artwork Workflow Analysis
- Understand end-to-end custom sports apparel decoration processes including:
- Artwork creation
- Logo placement
- Personalization and customization
- Proofing and approvals
- Production readiness
- Capture business rules related to artwork approvals, design modifications, and production constraints.
- Work with design and production teams to ensure applications support operational workflows effectively.
- Understand customization requirements for sports tournaments, leagues, teams, and event-based merchandise.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as the primary liaison between business users and development teams.
- Facilitate requirement clarification sessions with engineering and QA teams.
- Resolve requirement ambiguities and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning activities.
- Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical implementation.
Agile Delivery Support
- Create and manage user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, and backlog prioritization.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including:
- Sprint Planning
- Daily Stand-ups
- Sprint Reviews
- Retrospectives
- Support Product Owners in backlog refinement and prioritization.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Participate in test scenario identification and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Review test cases against business requirements.
- Validate delivered functionality against business expectations.
- Support defect triage and resolution discussions.
Documentation & Process Management
- Create and maintain:
- Business Process Flows
- Functional Specifications
- User Stories
- Use Cases
- Wireframes (where applicable)
- Data Mapping Documents
- Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM)
- Ensure proper version control and documentation governance.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8 10 years of Business Analysis experience in software product or enterprise application development.
- Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Experience writing detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
- Strong process modelling and workflow documentation skills.
Domain Knowledge
- Experience in one or more of the following domains is highly preferred:
- Custom Apparel Manufacturing
- Sports Merchandise
- Print-on-Demand Solutions
- Event Merchandise Solutions
Understanding of:
- Artwork lifecycle management
- Custom order workflows
- Product configuration and personalization
- Production and fulfilment processes is highly desirable.
Agile & Product Delivery
- Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience using tools such as:
- Jira
- Confluence
- AWS
- Miro
- Experience supporting Product Owners and development teams.
Testing & Quality
- The Business Analyst should possess strong understanding of software quality practices including:
- Functional Testing
- Integration Testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Requirement Traceability
- Test Coverage Validation
Familiarity with:
- Unit Testing concepts
- Static Code Analysis processes
- SonarQube quality metrics
- Quality gates and release governance
- to effectively collaborate with engineering and QA teams.
Technical Understanding
Preferred understanding of:
- Web Applications
- APIs and Integrations
- Cloud-based applications
- Data flows and system interfaces
- Database concepts
- Reporting and analytics platforms
- While this is not a hands-on technical role, the candidate should be comfortable discussing technical solutions with development teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Agile certifications preferred.
- Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience working with global stakeholders and distributed teams.
