Summary

Key Responsibilities

Act as the technical owner of the Appian platform, including environment strategy, configuration, performance, and stability
Plan and execute Appian upgrades, patches, capacity scaling, and environment refreshes
Define and enforce architecture standards, best practices, and governance for Appian implementations
Collaborate with business, delivery, infrastructure, and security teams as well as external vendors
Review solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and performance standards
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical incidents
Support and enhance DevOps / CI-CD pipelines for Appian deployments
Maintain platform documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures

Required Qualifications

8+ years of hands-on Appian experience, including architecture and environment management
Strong knowledge of Appian components: Records, Data Fabric/CDTs, SAIL, process models, integrations, plug-ins, and RPA
Proven experience in platform upgrades, performance tuning, and environment configuration (Appian Cloud & self-managed)
Solid understanding of integration patterns (REST, SOAP, queues, JDBC)
Experience with platform security, including SSO, SAML/OIDC, RBAC, and hardening
Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
