We are seeking a Digital Assets Lead Software Engineer to join an award-winning Digital and Trading Technology team. This role focuses on delivering next-generation digital wealth solutions at scale, leveraging modern full-stack engineering practices and AI-driven development tools. The Lead Software Engineer will drive complex, enterprise-wide initiatives, establish engineering standards, and collaborate closely with senior technology leaders to shape the future of digital wealth platforms, including tokenized and on-chain capabilities operating in 24x7 markets.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead complex, companywide technology initiatives with broad business impact.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document large-scale full-stack applications.
- Review and analyze complex technology solutions aligned to enterprise and strategic business objectives.
- Define and influence engineering standards and best practices across teams.
- Architect and develop scalable APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, product partners, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Mentor and guide engineers, providing technical leadership and peer coaching.
- Support production readiness, code quality reviews, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, supporting complex, enterprise-scale initiatives.
- 7+ years of hands-on development experience with Java and/or React with TypeScript.
- 5+ years of experience designing and building APIs and microservices in distributed systems.
- 2+ years of technical leadership experience, including mentoring engineers and leading design decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with .NET, Trading systems, or market data protocols such as FIX.
- Hands-on experience with E2E and UI testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber/Gherkin).
- Experience building RESTful services using Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and container platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitHub-based workflows, and modern developer tooling.
- Familiarity with application security practices and tools such as SonarQube.
Compensation
The pay rate for this position is $69.00/hr - $74.00/hr.
