JD: Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures that support business intelligence and analytics. You will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure data availability, quality, and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes using tools such as Matillion and Alteryx.
Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions leveraging Snowflake cloud data warehouse platform.
Create and manage data models, schemas, and data integration workflows to support reporting and analytics. Collaborate with reporting teams to develop dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or Power BI.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and security in compliance with Company's data governance policies.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and optimize data workflows for performance and scalability.
Work with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Support data access and subscription processes through Company's Enterprise Data and Access Gateway (EDAG) portal. Maintain documentation of data architecture, pipelines, and processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong experience with Snowflake data warehouse, including schema design, data ingestion, and query optimization.
10+ years of experience with Snowflake data warehouse
Proficiency in ETL tools such as Matillion and Alteryx, including building and managing complex data workflows. Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and reports. Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling concepts.
Familiarity with data access and security protocols within enterprise environments.
Ability to connect and integrate Snowflake with reporting and ETL tools using SSO and ODBC connections.
Experience with cloud data platforms and data subscription management is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of data platforms onboarding and subscription processes via EDAG.
Experience with OAuth and Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication methods for Snowflake and reporting tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
