About the Role
Support accurate, well-run strong GIS data and clear mapping. As a GIS Specialist II, you'll manage core geospatial datasets, produce map products, and improve workflows used to plan and deliver operations.

Maintain GIS databases; create print and web maps; run QC and spatial analysis; and keep GIS aligned with the Registration System. Document standards and changes, collaborate across teams, and provide training and user support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain core GIS data: build, update, and manage multiple places (5-26), and datasets (including geocoded points).
  • Ensure accuracy and audit readiness: perform QC (alignment, attributes, topology), fix issues, and maintain documentation/metadata/change logs.
  • Produce trusted map products: create clear print and web maps for different locations and operations.
  • Analyze and report: run spatial analyses and translate results into understandable maps and summaries.
  • Improve workflows: define standards and streamline/automate recurring GIS tasks.
  • Keep systems in sync: support data synchronization between GIS and the registration system.
  • Support: Provide training and user support; collaborate across teams; communicate clearly with stakeholders. Keep up with GIS tools and best practices; perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, computer science, geography, or related field
  • 5+ years of professional GIS experience
  • Esri/ArcGIS experience; GIS database development and maintenance
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (RDBMS)
  • Strong organization, independent work style, and clear communication
  • GIS and registration data experience
