Role Overview
We are seeking a GIS professional with strong ArcGIS / ESRI suite expertise and excellent communication skills to support construction field teams through mobile GIS solutions and training. This role focuses on ArcGIS Field Maps configuration, deployment, and training, working directly with engineering and construction site teams. This position performs technical tasks to produce complex drawings through efficient use of CAD technology and supports broader geospatial and data management efforts as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support special projects.
- Deploy quality assessment forms in ArcGIS Field Maps during the construction of wind, solar, and battery sites.
- Provide training and support to site superintendents and non-technical users in fast-paced environments.
- Travel to job sites (approximately 25%) to assist with technical assessments, system implementation, and training.
- Work with construction site teams to design quality assessment forms.
- Follow established work processes and develop improvements with management oversight.
- Create documentation related to GIS processes and training.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required, or an Associate degree with equivalent work experience in CAD, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 6 - 10 years of experience in CAD technology, project coordination, GIS applications, and geodatabase management.
Technical Skills:- ArcGIS Field Maps
- ArcGIS Pro (for basic data review and edits)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification in CAD or engineering technology.
- Experience supporting construction or energy projects.
- ArcGIS Enterprise experience.
- Experience conducting training and creating documentation.
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
