Role Overview
This position supports the overall management of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with budgetary, scheduling, and safety goals. The role involves supporting construction work performed by contractors and vendors at the project site. This is an office-based position that may incorporate travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess productivity, monitor schedule compliance, evaluate work quality, and ensure safety performance on assigned projects.
- Participate in walk-downs of planned work and validate the acceptance of completed work against design requirements.
- Review contractor payment requests and assist in scope control and budget oversight.
- Verify constructability, ensure proper resource allocation, assess field status, and resolve issues.
- Coordinate project activities with vendors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and local community officials.
- Interface with landowners, local regulators, and state agencies.
- Reinforce expectations related to safety, procedure compliance, and appropriate work behaviors for all staff.
- Coordinate activities for groups such as safety programs, engineering, construction, and contract administration.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Land Surveying, or a related field is required.
Experience: 6 - 10 years of experience managing project execution, including vendor and contractor coordination, preferably within the construction or renewables industry.
Technical Skills: Experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet. Familiarity with project management tools and strong organizational skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with a wide variety of stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
Work Environment
This role requires travel to project sites as needed, up to 25%. Driving will be a required part of the position duties.
