Job Profile Summary

A Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for maintaining security software, planning and implementing safety strategies, and testing a network's weaknesses. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively across the IT organization to ensure the security of our network infrastructure.

Job Description

Responsibilities
•    Develop and implement security protocols to protect sensitive information
•    Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and respond to potential threats
•    Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests
•    Implement security improvements by assessing current situations, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements
•    Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system configurations and architectures
•    Create reports on security incidents, breaches, or potential vulnerabilities

 

Qualifications
•    Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field 
•    Minimum 3 years of experience in an appropriate domain
•    Developing knowledge of industry security standards and guidelines. Such as NIST, CSF, RMO
•    Developing knowledge of security technology, such as firewalls, detection/prevention systems, and encryption
•    Ability to translate architectural requirements and design into implementation
•    Ability to assist in conducting risk assessments and vulnerability analysis to identify security vulnerabilities
•    Ability to understand security controls to mitigate risk
•    Ability to build relationships with LOB stakeholders, leadership, and internal partners
•    Ability to obtain, analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources, including performance and risk metrics
•    Analytical mindset, focused on results with critical thinking, research and problem-solving, and decision-making skills
•    Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative
•    Ability to manage competing priorities on concurrent large, complex projects, initiatives, and deliverables
•    Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
•    Strong technical proficiency in the use of MS Office including Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and experience using these 
•    tools to build system designs and provide updates during Agile ceremonies and other forums
