Title: Lead Cyber Security Engineer

Location: Richardson, TX (OnSite Role)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer Master to join our growing Information Security team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise security solutions that protect critical systems, applications, and data. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional IT teams to strengthen our cybersecurity posture, identify vulnerabilities, and implement security best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain security protocols, standards, and controls to safeguard sensitive information and critical systems.
  • Monitor network traffic and security events to identify suspicious activity and respond to potential cyber threats.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
  • Evaluate emerging security trends and technologies to continuously improve the organization''s security posture.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and architecture teams to ensure secure system configurations and designs.
  • Design, develop, and implement security controls that effectively mitigate identified risks.
  • Investigate security incidents and prepare detailed reports on vulnerabilities, breaches, and remediation efforts.
  • Support compliance with industry security frameworks, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and IT leadership to implement cybersecurity initiatives and drive security awareness across the organization.
  • Contribute to large-scale security projects while effectively managing multiple priorities and deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including NIST, Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), and RMO.
  • Extensive knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), encryption, and related security solutions.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity principles, and business processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate security architecture and design requirements into effective technical implementations.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and implementing remediation strategies.
  • Proven ability to design, develop, and implement enterprise security controls.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with business stakeholders, IT teams, leadership, and internal partners.
  • Excellent analytical, research, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, with experience creating technical documentation, system designs, and presenting updates during Agile ceremonies and stakeholder meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Professional cybersecurity certifications (such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, or equivalent) are considered an asset.
