Position: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Archbald, PA
About the Role
In this role, you will support manufacturing operations by improving processes, resolving defects, and enabling efficient production of electromechanical assemblies. You will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure that manufacturing procedures are effective, compliant, and optimized for performance.
Responsibilities
Modify and update manufacturing process documentation and procedures as needed.
Review defective hardware and provide clear rework instructions to return products to acceptable condition.
Support assembly teams by interpreting work instructions, troubleshooting issues, and providing hands-on production guidance.
Integrate inspection and test requirements into manufacturing plans when required.
Monitor tool performance and process plans to validate efficiency; identify issues and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality.
Partner with engineering to provide input on design concepts and specification requirements to ensure manufacturability.
Ensure all processes and procedures comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
Identify opportunities to streamline production flow, reduce cycle times, and decrease hours per unit.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
Experience in cable and harness manufacturing.
Experience with electromechanical assembly manufacturing.
Familiarity with industry standards including J-STD, IPC-610, and IPC-620 (certification not required).
Experience with PLM and ERP software systems such as Windchill, SAP, and Apriso preferred.
