Role Overview
As a Mid-Level Appian Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Appian applications that automate and optimize business processes. This role has a heavy focus on production support, requiring collaboration with Business Analysts to troubleshoot and resolve issues, alongside new development to build scalable solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to ensure applications are stable, secure, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level II production support for the Appian product and related applications, including incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
- Design, develop, and maintain Appian applications, process models, interfaces, and integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in collaboration with Business Analysts and stakeholders to ensure system stability.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions within Appian.
- Utilize Azure DevOps for task tracking, version control, and team communication.
- Take on troubleshooting and other tasks with minimal guidance.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and deployment guides.
- Participate in the testing and validation of new features and fixes.
- Work within Agile methodologies to deliver iterative improvements.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- 3-5 years of experience in Appian development, or 7+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in a production support-heavy role.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing applications using the Appian low-code platform.
- Proficiency in Appian application configuration and the Appian Designer.
Preferred Qualifications
- Appian developer certification.
- Experience with Appian development beyond core functionality, including plug-ins, connected systems, and Appian RPA.
- Knowledge of Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases, including writing queries.
- Experience integrating applications with RESTful APIs and external systems.
- Familiarity with other low-code platforms.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $145,000 annually. A comprehensive benefits package is available for eligible employees.
