Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced GIS Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support enterprise GIS initiatives by acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will have strong Business Analysis experience, Agile/Scrum expertise, and hands-on experience managing Jira backlogs, incident tracking, and cross-functional coordination. Experience supporting GIS platforms or enterprise applications is highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Hands-on experience with Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, and issue tracking.
- Experience supporting GIS (Geographic Information Systems) or enterprise technology platforms.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience coordinating testing activities across business and technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead incident intake, triage, prioritization, and resolution tracking.
- Manage and track security vulnerabilities, including CVE-related risks.
- Own and maintain the Jira backlog, including Epics, User Stories, Defects, and Sprint prioritization in collaboration with Product Owners and leadership.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and other testing efforts across business and technology teams.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor project progress and provide leadership with status updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Support release planning and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with GIS applications such as Esri ArcGIS or similar enterprise GIS platforms.
- Scrum Master or Agile Certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of SDLC, software testing methodologies, and enterprise application support.
- Experience working in regulated or large enterprise environments.
