This Engineer 5 contingent role serves as a senior technical expert responsible for developing, influencing, and executing solutions to highly complex business and technical challenges across the Engineering organization. The engineer will consult on strategy, guide long-term architectural direction, and partner with senior stakeholders to deliver innovative, scalable, and resilient engineering solutions. The role requires technical depth, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate independently while exerting broad organizational influence.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult as a technical expert on enterprise-wide engineering initiatives with broad impact.
- Influence and shape engineering strategy, architecture, and long-term solution roadmaps.
- Analyze and resolve complex, cross-domain engineering problems requiring advanced evaluation and creativity.
- Partner with client senior leadership to provide expert guidance on innovative engineering solutions.
- Lead or support the design of large-scale, high-impact platforms and systems.
- Ensure solutions align with organizational policies, procedures, compliance, and governance standards.
- Strategically collaborate across engineering, business, and technology teams.
- Mentor and guide other engineers through technical leadership and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
Technical Skills: Proven ability to lead and influence highly complex, enterprise-scale engineering initiatives across multiple technical domains. Experience developing long-term, large-scale engineering solutions requiring advanced analytical thinking, innovation, and strategic vision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience consulting directly with senior leadership on engineering strategy and execution.
- Strong background solving multi-faceted, ambiguous technical challenges in complex enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated ability to influence engineering standards, practices, and long-term technical direction.
