Job Summary

Centene Corp is seeking an experienced Senior Golang / Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Golang, PostgreSQL, React, and AI-assisted development using Windsurf.

The developer will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable healthcare applications and backend services supporting Provider Operations.

The ideal candidate will combine strong backend engineering skills with full-stack development experience and a solid understanding of the U.S. healthcare payer ecosystem. Experience with provider onboarding, provider demographics, directories, networks, affiliations, specialties, service locations, credentialing, and related workflows is highly valuable.

The role also requires the ability to effectively use Windsurf and AI-assisted development practices for code generation, debugging, refactoring, testing, documentation, and code analysis while maintaining enterprise security, quality, and maintainability standards.

Key Responsibilities

Backend & Application Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Golang (Go).
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices supporting healthcare applications.
• Design and implement scalable application architectures for enterprise healthcare environments.
• Troubleshoot application, API, integration, database, and performance issues.
• Develop unit and integration tests and support automated testing.
• Implement logging, monitoring, debugging, and production-support processes.
• Participate in solution design, development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.

PostgreSQL & Data Development

• Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas and data models.
• Develop efficient SQL queries and data-access components.
• Perform database indexing and query optimization.
• Troubleshoot and improve database performance and scalability.
• Build data solutions supporting healthcare and provider-related workflows.

React / Full Stack Development

• Develop and enhance responsive web applications using React.
• Work with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Integrate React applications with backend APIs and microservices.
• Participate across the full application development lifecycle.

Healthcare / Provider Operations

Develop solutions supporting Provider Operations, including:

• Provider onboarding
• Provider lifecycle management
• Provider demographics
• Provider directories
• Provider networks
• Provider affiliations
• Provider specialties
• Service locations
• Credentialing and recredentialing
• Provider data quality
• Provider-related integration workflows

Work closely with healthcare SMEs, Product Owners, Business Analysts, architects, and QA teams to translate healthcare requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Windsurf / AI-Assisted Development

• Use Windsurf as part of day-to-day software development.
• Leverage Windsurf for:

• Refactoring
• Debugging
• Unit-test generation
• Documentation
• Code analysis
• Use Windsurf to accelerate development of:
• Golang services
• PostgreSQL components

• React applications
• Provide appropriate application/codebase context and instructions to AI-assisted development tools.
• Review, validate, test, and optimize AI-generated code before integrating it into enterprise applications.
• Apply AI-assisted development practices without compromising code quality, security, maintainability, or enterprise standards.
• Follow enterprise security, privacy, coding, and code-review requirements when using AI development tools.
