We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support a strategic data integration and analytics program focused on consolidating data from multiple fund administrators and internal systems into an enterprise data warehouse.
The Scrum Master will work closely with data engineering teams, business analysts, BI developers, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of the program using Agile methodologies. The role involves facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing delivery impediments, improving team collaboration, and ensuring transparency in progress and risks.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting data engineering, data warehouse, or analytics programs and understands the complexities of data integration projects in financial services environments.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Delivery & Team Facilitation
- Serve as Scrum Master for Agile delivery teams supporting the data integration and analytics program
- Facilitate key Agile ceremonies, including:
- Sprint planning
- Daily stand-ups
- Sprint reviews
- Sprint retrospectives
- Ensure the team adheres to Agile principles and Scrum practices
- Help maintain a predictable and sustainable sprint cadence
Program Coordination
- Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Data Engineers, and BI developers to plan and deliver program increments
- Track progress across multiple workstreams such as data ingestion, data modeling, and BI reporting
- Ensure alignment between business priorities and development activities
- Support cross-team coordination where multiple delivery teams are involved
Impediment Removal
- Identify and remove impediments impacting team productivity
- Escalate issues and risks when necessary
- Facilitate collaboration between technical teams and business stakeholders
Delivery Transparency & Reporting
- Maintain backlogs, sprint boards, and Agile metrics
- Provide visibility into delivery progress, sprint velocity, risks, and dependencies
- Support release planning and milestone tracking
- Ensure teams maintain clear documentation of work items and deliverables
Continuous Improvement
- Promote continuous improvement within Agile teams
- Facilitate retrospective discussions and help teams implement improvement actions
- Encourage adoption of Agile best practices and collaboration across the program
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager
- Proven experience supporting technology delivery teams
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing delivery workflows
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting data engineering, data integration, or data warehouse programs
- Experience working with data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar cloud data environments
- Exposure to financial services, investment management, or fund administration data
- Experience coordinating multi-team Agile delivery programs
Tools & Technologies (Preferred)
- Agile management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Rally
- Familiarity with data integration pipelines and analytics delivery processes
- Experience working in cloud-based data platforms
