Job Title: IT Project Manager (Banking BG)

Job Location: Phoenix, AZ, Irving, TX | Onsite

Description:

AgreeYa is a global Systems Integrator and is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong banking and financial services background to lead the delivery of enterprise application projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), driving Agile delivery using Azure DevOps, and coordinating cross-functional teams across business, technology, architecture, QA, and operations.

This role requires a strong understanding of banking applications, regulatory considerations, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and successful delivery of complex technology initiatives.

Key Skills:

  • Azure DevOps (ADO) backlog and board management
  • Creating and managing Epics, Features, User Stories, Tasks, and Bugs
  • Working closely with BSAs to refine requirements and develop user stories with acceptance criteria
  • Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
  • SDLC management and sprint-level delivery tracking
  • Weekly project status reporting including Risks, Issues, Dependencies, and Milestones
  • Coordination across Business, Development Teams, Scrum COE, and PMO/EPMO teams
  • Banking and Financial Services experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of banking application projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, resources, risks, dependencies, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers, QA teams, and vendors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Drive Agile and Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) for project planning, backlog management, sprint tracking, reporting, and release coordination.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks/issues, and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
  • Coordinate application development, enhancement, integration, migration, and modernization initiatives.
  • Manage stakeholder communications and provide regular status updates to senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, audit requirements, and organizational governance processes.
  • Facilitate UAT planning, production deployment activities, and post-implementation support.
  • Oversee vendor management and coordinate with third-party technology partners when required.
  • Track project financials, resource utilization, and budget adherence.
  • Establish and maintain project documentation, RAID logs, project plans, and governance artifacts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of IT project management experience with at least 3+ years in the Banking/Financial Services domain.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale application development and transformation projects.
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps for Agile project execution and release management.
  • Experience managing distributed development teams and multiple project workstreams.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches.
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, project resources, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.
