Senior Cybersecurity Program Manager
Location: Orlando, FL, Kirkman Point area preferred
Work Arrangement: Local candidates must be available to work onsite as business needs require
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Hours: 40 hours per week
Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Cybersecurity Program Manager to lead medium-to-large, multi-workstream technology, cybersecurity, and data privacy initiatives within a complex, matrixed organization.
The selected professional will manage high-priority programs involving multiple technical teams, business stakeholders, geographic locations, and organizational dependencies. This role requires exceptional program leadership, executive communication, financial oversight, risk management, and the ability to translate technical information for nontechnical audiences.
Cybersecurity experience is strongly preferred but is not required for candidates with extensive experience managing enterprise-level technology programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex cybersecurity, data privacy, and technology projects involving multiple teams, workstreams, and stakeholder groups.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, schedules, dependencies, and success criteria.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that support on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
- Manage high-priority initiatives requiring significant resources and cross-functional integration.
- Coordinate across business units, technical teams, implementation groups, customers, and organizational leadership.
- Serve as a liaison among application, implementation, cybersecurity, support, and stakeholder teams.
- Identify resource requirements and monitor resource allocation throughout the program.
- Address resource shortages, surpluses, and competing demands to keep deliverables on schedule.
- Track progress against established plans and hold project owners accountable for completing assigned tasks.
- Identify, assess, document, and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Develop mitigation strategies and escalate critical risks or roadblocks to leadership.
- Administer the project change-control process and ensure work remains aligned with approved scope.
- Communicate project status, risks, decisions, milestones, and financial performance through written reports, presentations, and regular updates.
- Present program information effectively to stakeholders, senior management, and executive audiences.
- Develop and maintain financial forecasts in partnership with application and technical teams.
- Track forecast-to-actual variances, update project budgets, and support cost-efficient delivery.
- Assist with requirements gathering, application inventories, assessment data collection, estimation, and planning.
- Document key assumptions and dependencies that may affect delivery timelines or resource requirements.
- Partner with other project and program managers to validate assumptions, prioritize work, and align project plans.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including inventories, project plans, schedules, status reports, risk logs, decision logs, and stakeholder presentations.
- Organize and facilitate project meetings, establish agendas, document decisions and next steps, assign owners, and drive actions through completion.
- Review project deliverables for completeness, accuracy, quality, and adherence to established standards.
- Partner with customers, technology owners, and cybersecurity teams to promote compliance with security policies and organizational standards.
- Maintain a working understanding of relevant products, platforms, systems, and technical capabilities.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior project or program managers when needed.
- Take full ownership of assignments and drive them through completion.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of project or program management experience, preferably supporting enterprise technology, digital, cybersecurity, or data privacy initiatives.
- Demonstrated success leading medium-to-large programs with multiple simultaneous workstreams.
- Experience working within a large, highly matrixed organization.
- Experience coordinating technical and business teams across multiple functions and geographic locations.
- Advanced knowledge of project estimation, planning, scheduling, resource management, risk management, issue management, change control, and communication planning.
- Professional experience using both traditional and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Knowledge of Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, and product-oriented operating models.
- Experience developing and managing project budgets, financial forecasts, and forecast-to-actual reporting.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them clearly to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong executive communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift context quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Hands-on experience with project-management and collaboration tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
- Relevant professional experience in lieu of a specific degree will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing cybersecurity, information security, data privacy, or regulatory compliance programs.
- Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles and frameworks, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

- Project management or Agile certification, such as PMP, CAPM, or CSM.
