Job Description-:

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator with strong, hands-on SQL Server expertise to provide support during U.S. business hours.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure reliable SAP Basis coverage in U.S. time zones and reduce dependency on after-hours resources.

The ideal candidate will have started their career as a SQL Server DBA and transitioned into a Basis role. This person must have direct, hands-on experience logging into SAP systems and performing Basis administration tasks — not simply supporting SAP from a database-only perspective.

MUSTS

Proven, hands-on experience as an SAP Basis Administrator
Deep knowledge of SQL Server administration (performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, backups/restores, etc.)
Experience supporting SAP systems running on SQL databases
Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond quickly to critical incidents
