This position is a support role to the Marketing, Engineering, and Commercial Operations functions of the company. The primary area of responsibility is to provide Radio Frequency (RF) MESH AMR Pocket Network design and validation for various process steps leading up to a contracted client engagement, during the actual deployment and troubleshooting. This includes New Product Design, RFI/RFP, and Contract commitments.

Key Responsibilities:
Defining network hardware requirements and performance capabilities in support of specific client
RFI, RFP, and Deployment Contract Awards.
Perform network design activities for the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) elements of the total solution. Includes modeling activities necessary to estimate capacity requirements based on client requirements.
Maintaining, evaluating, analyzing, and utilizing high performance databases associated with client-provided and purchased data.
Supporting engineering field trials and day-to-day support of System Solutions function.
Providing mapping, demographic, and geographic data management services.
Working with large amounts of data utilizing various RF models and mapping applications.
Continuing to validate and evolve RF and data models to ensure that the current model used for projecting network solutions is in conformance with the latest technology developments and new product introductions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Electric / Water / Gas utility metering industry desired
Antenna knowledge related to propagation models desired
Experience with Radio Frequency technology (low power RF preferred)
Knowledge of Radio Frequency propagation models desired
Experience with mapping software (e.g., MapInfo)
Experience working with demographic and geographic data
Good written and oral communication skills
Strong technical documentation skills
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

Accountabilities:

Education and Experience:
College degree
4 + years equivalent work experience

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements/Safety/PPE/OHSAS:
Working Conditions: Typical indoor office environment with the majority of time spent sitting and working on a computer using keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Occasional use of other devices such as: phone, copier/printer/fax, etc.
Physical Requirements: Typical office setting. Required to stand; walk; crouch; or handle objects. Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to sit and view computer screen for long periods of time. Personal Protection Equipment/Other OHSAS-18001 Safety Requirements: Ensure the continued efforts and assist in achieving annual goals of health, safety, and environmental policies. Pay is in the range of $81,714 - $111,854 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
