Job Description:
Responsible for software design across advisor services platforms, including both desktop and responsive mobile experiences. The team includes user experience designers, visual designers, content writers, and researchers who collaborate across business and technology groups to create best-in-class software experiences. The team is committed to understanding user needs and practicing user-centered design to help clients achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities:

Design Consulting:
  • Facilitate collaborative design sessions such as sketching and ideation.
  • Lead design reviews and support decision-making processes.
  • Create design solutions with cross-functional teams, considering all aspects of the advisor and end-client experience.
  • Apply established design systems and patterns consistently to meet company standards.
  • Approach design as an iterative discipline.
  • Visualize ideas using sketches, diagrams, wireframes, or prototypes and produce appropriate documentation.

Design Management:
  • Set expectations and prioritize project activities.
  • Create and maintain design schedules.
  • Communicate status updates and agreements with project teams.
  • Review work with UX managers, provide updates, and escalate issues when necessary.

Design Expertise and Execution:
  • Maintain high design standards.
  • Lead primary design activities, produce deliverables, and perform expert-level QA.
  • Participate in and support user research efforts.
  • Contribute to improving team processes for greater effectiveness and efficiency.

Teamwork, Collaboration, and Engagement:
  • Collaborate effectively with partners across the organization.
  • Support UX team members as needed.
  • Receive and incorporate feedback constructively.
  • Maintain a flexible and open mindset when presented with new information.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for UX design and the mission of the team.

Empathy and Curiosity:
  • Understand user needs by empathizing with their experiences.
  • Focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on UX design theory, practices, and tools.
