Group/Division
The SensArray division is the world leading provider of in situ processing measurement and control solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides measurement and control solutions to both semiconductor fabs and mask shops to ensure that yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing SensArray business unit is dedicate to support customer R&D phase as well as HVM with in-situ thermal process control. SensArray business unit enable APC (Automated Process Control) to improve process optimization and yield improvement.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and self-driven Summer Engineering Intern to support technology development and engineering validation efforts. The intern will take ownership of hands-on experiments, working closely with Electrical Engineers and Mechanical Engineers to execute tests, improve experimental setups, and generate high-quality engineering data. This position provides practical exposure to applied physics, electrical and mechanical engineering in a collaborative R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently execute engineering experiments and tests with guidance from Electrical and Mechanical Engineers
  • Set up, operate, and refine experimental setups and test fixtures
  • Perform hands-on assembly, modification, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical components
  • Collect, organize, and document experimental data accurately and consistently
  • Perform basic data analysis and prepare summaries or plots as needed
  • Identify issues during testing and proactively propose improvements or alternative approaches

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior laboratory, research, or internship experience
  • Familiarity with basic lab equipment (e.g., power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, mechanical test setups)
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, MATLAB, Python, or similar)
  • Basic experience with CAD, prototyping, or electronics assembly is a plus

Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline with 0 year work experience.
  • Ability and willingness to perform hands-on work in a lab or engineering environment
  • Basic understanding of electrical and/or mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating under technical guidance
