This is a Remote / Contract-to-Hire position with occasional travel to the DC/VA area.

About the Opportunity:
\\n

\\n
In this role, you will partner with federal clients to identify business needs, improve processes, and translate requirements into ServiceNow solutions. You will serve as a liaison between business owners, end users, and technical teams, ensuring that proposed solutions address stakeholder needs and that development teams have clear, actionable requirements.
\\n
This opportunity combines business analysis, process improvement, and Agile delivery. You will lead requirements discussions, document current and future processes, develop user stories and wireframes, and guide requirements from the product backlog into sprint planning.

Key Responsibilities:
\\n

\\n
Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering
\\n
    \\n
  • Identify business needs and plan analysis activities to support ServiceNow engagements.
  • \\n
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis to understand priorities, responsibilities, and the impact of proposed changes.
  • \\n
  • Facilitate discussions with business owners, sponsors, focus groups, and end users to gather and clarify requirements.
  • \\n
  • Translate business needs into detailed business and functional requirements that inform technical design.
  • \\n
  • Analyze requirements against existing and planned product capabilities to identify gaps, dependencies, and areas requiring further investigation.
  • \\n

Business Process Improvement
\\n
    \\n
  • Lead the definition and documentation of current-state and future-state business processes.
  • \\n
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify differences between existing processes and desired outcomes.
  • \\n
  • Work with customer sponsors and stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and re-engineering.
  • \\n
  • Develop business use cases and process models that help stakeholders evaluate proposed changes.
  • \\n
  • Support change activities by communicating how proposed solutions will affect users and business operations.
  • \\n

Agile Delivery and Backlog Support
\\n
    \\n
  • Develop and maintain user stories in ServiceNow, ensuring requirements are clear and sufficiently detailed for development.
  • \\n
  • Break down large or complex stories into manageable components.
  • \\n
  • Guide the flow of requirements from the product backlog into sprint planning.
  • \\n
  • Work with stakeholders and delivery teams to clarify scope, dependencies, and requirements before development begins.
  • \\n
  • Investigate questions, blockers, and issues that arise during delivery and help teams resolve requirements-related uncertainty.
  • \\n

Requirements Documentation and Visual Design
\\n
    \\n
  • Maintain approved business requirements, use cases, process flows, and reporting requirements.
  • \\n
  • Create wireframes and mockups to illustrate proposed functionality and support user story discussions.
  • \\n
  • Keep documentation current as requirements and solution designs evolve.
  • \\n
  • Communicate complex requirements clearly so technical teams understand the intended functionality and business purpose.
  • \\n
  • Review requirements for completeness and consistency with stakeholder needs and platform capabilities.
  • \\n

Stakeholder Collaboration
\\n
    \\n
  • Serve as the connection between business owners, end users, and IT partners throughout the engagement.
  • \\n
  • Facilitate working sessions to review requirements, evaluate options, and resolve open questions.
  • \\n
  • Present findings and recommendations to business and technical audiences.
  • \\n
  • Help stakeholders reach agreement on requirements and process changes.
  • \\n
  • Support a coordinated approach to solution delivery across business and technical teams.
  • \\n

Required Qualifications:
\\n

\\n
    \\n
  • At least 5 years of ITSM and/or HRSD ServiceNow Business Analyst / Project Management experience.
  • \\n
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • \\n
  • Familiarity with implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
  • \\n
  • Solid understanding of Agile processes and methodologies, including writing user stories and breaking down larger stories into manageable components.
  • \\n
  • Experience using business analysis tools and techniques to design and deliver business change.
  • \\n
  • Experience with requirements elicitation or ServiceNow platform configuration.
  • \\n
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and facilitation skills, including the ability to present recommendations and influence discussions.
  • \\n
  • Ability to travel as required to support client engagements.
  • \\n
  • Must possess a U.S. Government Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
  • \\n
\\n
