The Platform Product Manager for Vehicle Programs is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end readiness, enablement, and activation of connected vehicle capabilities for new vehicle launches. This role ensures every vehicle is correctly configured, validated, and fully connected from the moment it leaves the plant—supporting services such as OTA updates, digital feature activation, and integration with the service delivery platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the product vision and strategy for onboarding vehicle configurations, devices, and software into the connected ecosystem.
Ensure manufacturing plants, backend systems, and connected vehicle services are fully prepared for new model introductions.
Understand and manage complex vehicle configurations, including ECUs, software versions, hardware dependencies, features, and telemetry.
Lead and optimize workflows for vehicle registration and connectivity activation at the plant.
Collaborate across engineering, digital product teams, program management, planning, and operations to resolve inefficiencies and manage dependencies.
Monitor early‑life connectivity and validation data to improve launch quality and customer experience.
Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on launch readiness, risk, and strategic impact.
Communicate roadmap status, risks, KPIs, and progress to leadership and stakeholders.
Build strong cross‑functional relationships across hardware, software, cloud, and manufacturing ecosystems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Engineering; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Product management experience in remote telematics, IoT, or connected vehicle technology.
Strong knowledge of service delivery platforms and connected vehicle systems.
Understanding of security, compliance, and ethical considerations.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and strategic thinking skills.
