Now Hiring: Tech Lead - Java | PNC Bank (Hybrid - Dallas, TX)
12-Month Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
We're partnering with PNC Bank to hire a hands-on Technical Lead supporting a high-priority credit card origination platform initiative. This role is critical to delivery success-the team is currently blocked without the right lead in place and already trending behind on release timelines.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a hands-on Tech Lead, driving both technical direction and development work
• Lead and mentor engineers while actively contributing to code and architecture
• Perform detailed code reviews and ensure engineering best practices
• Build scalable, secure Java-based microservices and APIs
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Help bring structure and momentum to a team that relies heavily on strong leadership
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise banking standards for security, compliance, and reliability

Must-Have Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with Java, APIs, and Angular
• Proven Tech Lead experience (not just individual contributor or aspiring lead)
• Strong, hands-on expertise with Spring Boot & Microservices architecture
• Experience with MongoDB and/or Oracle
• Ability to clearly articulate technical decisions and leadership impact
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Strong communication skills with both technical teams and business stakeholders
• Financial services experience strongly preferred

Nice to Have

• Credit card or payments domain experience

• While credit card experience is a plus, deep technical expertise + leadership experience + financial services background are more critical
• This role is essential to keeping delivery timelines on track and supporting a growing team

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.
